I’m an award-winning designer based in the MetroWest Boston area who has spent 25 years helping organizations find clarity in complexity. I have deep roots in editorial and publication design and a broad skill set that includes brand identity, experiential design, data visualization, and proposal documents. I bring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution that teams need most. I work quickly, communicate openly, and genuinely care about the impact of the work I help create. I have a deep love for color and simplicity in communication.
I started my career at the Rock Island Argus, where I built my foundation across daily news pages, features, and special sections. From there, I moved to the Salt Lake Tribune, where I designed between 2 and 7 pages a day across every section of the paper and led design for IN This Week, the paper’s weekly magazine. I also handled high-profile coverage, including the Susan Powell disappearance and the Elizabeth Smart trials — some of the most closely watched stories in the region at the time.
Since 2013, I’ve worked in corporate, freelance, and editorial environments. At Henry Schein One, I spent nine years designing across 20+ healthcare product lines, led a full collateral redesign initiative, and served as the sole designer for a company-wide conference. Through my own practice, Notch Collective, I’ve spent 15 years producing proposal graphics and RFP documents for federal clients, including JPL, Lockheed Martin, and HUD. At The Boston Globe, I’ve designed the front page four days a week, producing custom illustrations and data visualizations, and leading visual development for major Spotlight investigative series. I’ve earned Society for News Design awards along the way.
When I’m not designing, you can find me with my dogs, dabbling in some woodworking, or wrenching on my 1985 VW.
